watersanding marks

Hey group I have a problem .......I wet sanded a friends car with 2000 and used a rotary and 3m compund then followed up with 3m polish glaze (dark). Unfortunately after it rained I saw cratch marks in the paint. Any ideas or suggestions on a fix....

You might of used too much product or not enough. Hard to say.

Also could not of had the rpms up enough to remove wetsanding marks. You could try a different compound, some work better then others.

when i wet sand i use a soft compound with a med speed on a rotary. if that doesn't remove them, i use a harsher compound with med speed and then work to a polish. too much product will add scratches, it takes practice to get the right combo down. don't give up.

thanks guy.....so what would be a next step clean the wax with a wax cleaner then re-apply the compound with the rotary or do I need to re-wet sand then start with compound.
