watermarks/fine scratches

I live in Las Vegas, home of bright sun and hard water -- bad combination for a black BMW. I wash the car in the garage, butr inevitably, there are some areas that dry before I can get to them with the water blade. Can I just use some Mother's quick detailer and a MF towel to touch up or does that not cooperate with the Klasse I have on the car?

Next question is why I continue to get very fine scratch marks -- almost misty, hazy scratches that are all too evident in the bright sun. My bottoms up detailing routine is:

3M SWM

Klasse AIO

Klasse Glaze

Blitz wax

All are applied with the MF pads that are supplied with the Klasse kit, except the wax, which is applied by bare hand. I am pretty convinced that the good MF towel I use to finish off the routine is the culprit, but I will do some more testing tomorrow.

Any ideas are welcome.

Any quick detailer would work fine. I like EF Clear Pearl, One Grand Show Off, and Final Inspection for use with Klasse.

As for the fine scratches, first you need to determine if they are in the paint or in the sealant/wax. Strip a small portion of the wax off the paint using plain old rubbing alchohol. If the scratches go away, they arent in the paint.

Mother's Showtime is fine to use with your layers of Klasse, no harm in that.

Have you given any consideration to your washing method(s) in regard to the scratches that you are seeing? More often than not, washing techniques are the cause of surface scratching.

You may also want to give thought to applying SG, etc. with a foam applicator.

it takes a pretty scratchy towel to get serious swirling from them or some really soft paint

you can run a CD test on the same towel you used to see if it scratches it badly

are you getting marring in the paint or in the Klasse?
