Water Stain

My daughter and son are avid swimmers. My daughter is only 9 and she is going to Junoir Olympics in 2 weeks. She is unbelievable. But that is not what I am here to ask. I have a 2005 Toyota Tacoma with the TRD Sport Package. The seats look like they have a mesh type of cloth on them. See the attached pictures. Anyways, my daughter comes home from swim wet and there is a stain on the front seat. I tried to clean ti but it seems like the water makes it worse. I have tried to use Wollite and water on it, but that is no help. What are some options that I have. I only have a shop-vac to extract water, and it is not that good at doing that. What are some of the options that I have. I am willing to take it to someone if that is what I have to do. I am also considering waterproof seat covers. I will try to get some pics of the stain when I get home. These pics are only of the truck when it was new so that you can see what kind of seats I am talking about.

have you tried oxy clean and folex? If you get it clean you may want to scotchguard it or use a like product to aid in prevention for the future swimming trips. Best of luck to your duaghter!

i hope she wasnt on that seat with chlorine wet clothes, that can have a bleaching affect,if the stain got worse after you cleaned it sounds like maybe chlorine might have released some of the dye and the cleaning may have removed it ?
i hope this isnt the case, we just all know how swim suits fade from chlorine :dunno

That was my thoughts chlorine wet clothes, are hell on material and leather for that matter..I would how ever try the oxy-clean to see if that helps. Make a mixture with water and use your shop vac to lift...if that does not work head for a detailer with a good extractor........if that does nto work then call the dealership and find out who they use fro coloring spots on there cars, it will be a mobilie guy most likely.....Then I would go with a protectant and get a dry towel for the swimmer for after practice.......Good Luck!

Since this a new truck which has warranty I would take to the service department for a seat cover replacement. After this I would purchase seat cover from Wet Okole.

Where in th So Cal are you?

Eric

Thanks guys, I was afraid of the bleaching thing with the chlorine. Trust me, I know about bathing suits. She goes through one every 3 or 4 months, and they aer not cheap. I have been thinking about the Wet Okle seat coers for some time now. Think I am going to go with them. I will try the Oxy Clean Method first though.
