Water spots

OK here is my 1st question. We have hard water here, lots of lime. When I wash any vehicle with this water it doesn't matter weither I dry it quick or not because I always get water spots, lots of them. My best friend is a final detail spray. I have to use it or the cars look worse than they did before washing. Other than soft water filter or deionizer tank does any one have any suggestions?? Thanks in advance..

Welcome to the forum!

It's hard to imagine water that hard, but here are some tips I can think of:
Only wash in the shade.
Spray down to loosen big dirt chunks.
Use only made for car washing soap, not dish detergent.
Soap sections at a time and rinse so soap doesn't dry on paint.
For final rinse, just use water from the hose with no nozzle, let the water sheet over the paint.
I use a California Water Blade to get the big water off, then use either MF (microfiber) or my choice is the "Absorber" synthetic chamois.

From a wash standpoint, this is all I can think of. If the paint is well protected with wax or poly, that would also help keep from spotting so much.

Other than that, keep that QD as a friend, he helps all of us!
