Water Spots- Order Of Operations?

Custom Bike Mik

Super N00b
Greetings to the group and thanks for the great tips.

I have searched on water spots and have not found the answer to my question, so I am buggin y'all with yet another n00b question. :hide:

I have a newer car (2006) with some water spotting. Can someone give me an order of progression list of procedures from least aggressive to most aggressive for dealing with water spotting?

:thx

the order i would try:

1. white vinegar

2. paint cleaner (4* UPC or similar)

3. PC and white LC pad...step up to an orange LC if needed

4. rotary

1 or 2 should work if there is no etching...3 or 4 if the clear is etched.

You should definately give Duragloss water spot remover a try. Unless they are etched in, it should work well. TW liquid clay worked well on them, and KAIO with a PC worked well too.

I had massive water spotting on my windows. I took some Prime Strong with a terry and worked the hell out of it, it eventually came out perfect. I wouldn't reccomend "working the hell" out of your paint tho.

Don't forget clay, definitely worth a try.

I tried the white vinegar and it didn't do much. But the clay took 95% of it away after I got a little more agressive with it. Neat!

Don't have a PC yet. I used a friends once and what a time/energy saver. Gonna have to get one.

Thanks!!!
