Water spots and OCv2.0

Help! After using AutoBalm on my old black Tundra for years, I decided it would be my perfect test bed for OCv2. Even though I was really happy with the AB, ease of use and good looks with no swirls, that's still a whole lotta sheet metal to care for on a regular basis. It lives outside, gets very dusty here in uber-dry Oklahoma, and falls victim to my sprinkler system. Unfortunately, I really can't park it anywhere else. So, OC to the rescue. Application is quite easy, I used a MF app, gently rub in till its "gone," no streaks or high spots, harder'n hell within 24 hrs. So far, so good. But, my God, the water spots! I'm used to them but previously, it was easy to get rid of them with just an ONR wash. Now, they tenaciously adhere to the OC. I used the AB, now the OC just so I wouldn't have to polish frequently. Any suggestions? UPS should be delivering some DG WSR today, but anyone have a suggestion for a topper which might not be so friendly to the spots? Reload, maybe? Any suggestion appreciated!

OC is bullet-proof if you want to wash with something harsher to remove the water-spots.

You can top it with anything you like to make the surface slicker as OC isn't so slick. Just remember that whatever you top it with won't last as long as it did on bare paint. OC will shed it quicker.

Not sure how hard the water is in OK, but sprinkler water + sitting outside letting the water evaporate off in the hot sun will always be a recipe for water etching disaster IME. Not sure if the weather or environment conditions have changed enough that your results with the OC treatment are giving you seemingly different results over the AutoBalm, but as Alfisti stated, I would highly suggest topping it with another LSP like Opti-Seal to help with its slickness. Other than that, the best recommendation I can make is don't park near sprinklers when they're going :thumb:
