Water Blades...

They are a safe tool if used properly. If your car is well waxed then you don't really need one anyway. Just run water over the car and most of the water will be sloughed off anyway. I only use it on the windows usually unless it is a car that isn't waxed and I'll be polishing anyway. Its worth it for the windows alone, but not always necessary to use on the paint.

Completely agree with the above post. I only really use it for windows, and it's perfect for that job. Our cars are never unwaxed, so drying with a WW is just as easy as using the water blade.

Mine is never unwaxed either, but I wash using well water.

I normally wash the car outside in the shade, only doing a section at a time and never letting the car dry. Then I pull into the garage to dry off with microfiber towels, and I always find that I am getting streaks and have to go over the whole car with detail spray. I found that kit and bought it mainly for the large water absorbing microfiber towel, but if the water blade works I will definantly try it.

I gave my water blade away last week to my neighbor that loves it. He washes his car a couple times a week or more, and usually goes slow enough to get lots of spots and streaks on the paint. So I thought maybe the water blade would help him out with the time it takes to wash his car, and he wouldn't have so many spots.

Well my brother came to visit last week and brought me a water blade! So now I have one again lol. I only use it on glass and on neglected cars that require polishing anyway.

BTW I get streaks too sometimes with my WW. I always use 2 WWs now. The first is just for getting the large areas of water, and then I follow up with the 2nd to get any streaks left behind, plus any smaller areas that I didn't get with the 1st one.
