Watch The Progress Of My Garage

We've decided on 2 8 foot "industrial" lights for the garage on each side, my brother is an electrician and he asked a guy about ordering some for us, and he said many detailers use these lights. I havent had a chance to talk to my brother so I dont know the exact name of them I will find out. The recylcle storage closet has been built, the cabinet needs to be stripped tonight...I will begin putting primer on the walls and windows on Saturday!! It's coming along! :hifive:

We didnt go with normal insulation..What we're going to do is shoot some insultation into the walls...He said this is better?? Dont ask me why; maybe because it fills up every possible inch? Who knows! But yes..I will definately need it in winter :)

that is a good move :bigups

Well the garage is almost complete..I will be so glad when it is because I hate having my car sit outside 24/7. My dad is just finishing up the cieling this weekend...putting the last coat of paint on everything then we are going to start the floor. My question is:

We purchased some Stone Mason Vinyl Cement Patch for patching cracks and pitting and QuickRete for epoxy. With the epoxy we are suppose to clean the cement really good...just to be sure we dont remove the Cement Patch should we prep the entire garage prior to patching...wait for it to cure, then apply epoxy? Thanks to those who reply!

Did you put drywall on the ceiling as well? Closing off the ceiling may make the room look smaller, but then you won't see all the clutter you have up there in the rafters either. You could still have a trap door for access. Plus then you could insulate the ceiling.

We emptied the cieling of all the crap we had stored up there, my dad put better looking braces up..and he's painting it black...he didnt want to go the white route...it does look pretty good however. We are going to be installing 2 8 foot lights...as well as 2 flood lights on each side of the garage which will be controlled by a switch..If this doesnt light the garage up enough to my liking I always have my portable stands..or I am going to order another 8 foot

I went to pick up the lights yesterday from my brother after his electrical business he works for ordered them for me. I took a look at the bulbs, and I have two 8 foot fixtures, with 4 bulbs in each fixture. The bulbs are rated at 5000K...so I have 8 5000K lights to work with so far...hopefully once we put them in I will like them :)
