Watch the $10,000 detail!!

he only uses 1 bucket to wash and in the sun too! i would put money down to anyone here to probably do a better job than him. Zymol is overrated IMHO and I was a user for 10 years :D

yeah he does use 1 bucket lol

Didn't seem to me that he was doing anything different than what we do. I found it a bit irritating how he kept mentioning how much each product cost, as if to say this is the best because it costs the most. Which is rarely true.

Whatever though it certainly looks like he isn't hurting for business, so whatever he is doing he must be doing it right.

Really, wouldn't a MC12 thats driven once a month (Max) get a year out of two layers of Zymol?

Zymol is a very low durability product, and is known for lasting 2 weeks on show cars. It is full of oils. Oils evaporate and dry up, they won't last forever, or even a year if left untouched. When you polish furniture with oils, how long is it before the oily "look" dries and it is all but gone from the surface? Certainly not a year.

Just because a car isn't driven doesn't mean the wax isn't dissipating from the surface. In the case of Zymol, it dissipates pretty quickly.

Just goes to show you that there is a market for anything, if you can convince people with money they need your services, or products. This guy isn't doing anything special to those cars, but he has the owners convinced his "61-step" regimen is worth 10 grand. Next, he'll be selling them swawp land in Mexico.

What do you guys think of his special wax that he rubs his hands to activate and then applies bare hand? He is a smart business man, thats for sure

waxing by hand is nothing new. However you better have your palms be as smooth as a baby ....

As far as the 1 bucket method - while I don't advocate it, if I am doing a first full detail, sometimes I use just one bucket. After all I will be removing some clear anyways. Just m2c
