Watch aficionados, help me buy a new watch

Well, thanks to Autopia I'm now developing the desire for a new watch. I'm interested in this:

Anyway, has anyone ever bought from that guy (noted in photo) or his website, or do you have any word of mouth on him. He's got some great deals on ALL kinds of Seikos, although the "without papers" seems a little sketchy. I'd prefer to get one with all the stuff.

OR, how about 21jewels.com?

I like Citizen. The Eco-Drive models use sunlight to recharge, and even though they have an analog face, with hands for day/date, etc., they know the month and year so they don't need date changes even for leap year. I own two of them and both stay within about 30 seconds a year accuracy.

The citizens are great watches, I have the diving model, which does not have a perpetual calender. Like lee said, they use sunlight to recharge, and are very efficient. I don't wear it much anymore after I got a new TAG, but it hasnt lost its charge and its been months since I have worn it.

IMO, dont even think about getting an automatic mov't unless you are going to spend the money and get one of the more accurate ones. The cheaper autos are janky IMO. I had a seiko (~$200) auto years ago given to me as a gift and it was crap. Inaccurate, and every month it was off, meaning every day it was slightly off. I found that the citizen was never off more than 1 sec a month.

However, so far my tag hasn't lost a sec yet.

As one that owns more autos than I can count, I can tell you from experience, the movement in the Seiko Monsters is as accurate as any watch I have and most cost at least 10 times what the Seiko did. In fact, two of the worst time keepers I own are Rolexes but they are the "best" after all. :)

As previously mentioned, Fossils are great watches. I've owned a lot of watches and out of all of them the Fossil keeps going and going. I had an old Fossil watch that I completely forgot about and left it in my truck for a few years. Inside the rear door pocket I found the watch still ticking away, right on time. I was already about 4 years old when I left it in the truck and a few years later, it's still good to go.

One thing I like about Fossil is they have a wide range of styles. Casual, dressy, office casual, etc..
