washing MF: hot or cold water?

I have been searching and everyone seems to say either warm or hot water... low heat when drying... but on this site http://pakshak.com/ which sells MF it says to use cold water? What is the deal here?

I wash them by hand with warm water. I've heard bad things about getting lint and crud in the MF towel from washing them by machine. I think that is mostly from drying in a machine though. I just use dawn and warm water. It works pretty well IMO.

hmm... I've read that the machine and even the dryer actually help get RID of crud/dirt/etc... I guess it varies from person to person... I will just have to see what my experience is.

From all the tags I have removed they say hot water....Since it is not cotton I doubt shrinkage is a concern....plus hot water makes soaps work better removing crud.....

Most people that have commented on drying the MF towels in the dryer have said that the towels pick up lint. It makes sense to me. Even when I air dry them they tend to be a little staticy afterward. If you dry them in the dryer then dry them alone. Just do all the MF towels together. Don't use any dryer sheets either. I don't think anyone on this board will disagree with that advice.

Hi Jngrbrdman,

Sorry that was overlooked. You should machine wash or wash by hands the micro fiber towels in warm water =<90 degrees. Sorry for the misinformation. Thank you for catching that. It has been corrected.

wow, I didn't know you had an account on here... don't know if you mind me asking this or not... but how would you put your towels up against Yosteve's and neatitems? Thanks...

Hi ralessi,

I would have to give both Yosteve's and Neatitems a thumbs up. I have bought and tried both of their micro fiber towels and have nothing but good things to say about them. They are both quality micro fiber towels. I think you really have to try both of them to find out what you like. All I can say is that we have gotten positive feedback on our micro fiber towels. Thank you for asking.

Aloha,

Ranney
