Washing got easier

i'm sure you could buy a piece of PVC pipe and cut it in half to make your own! just heat up the sides with a heat gun and mould into place! cost you only a few dollars.

It looks great, as long as your tire isn't more than 8" wide. The tire in that picture looks extremely narrow.

lol - thats the advantage of making your own, you could have drag slicks on there and it wouldn't matter.

I believe someone mentioned these awhile ago and ended up making their own out of plastic milk jugs or something.



My only concern is that with my luck I would forget to remove them and drive over and crush them.

I have those and they work OK even with fairly wide tires (haven't tried them with *really* wide, 300+ section-width, tires though). They hold the hose out away from the tire enough that its not covering the entire treadwidth doesn't matter much. Not *perfect* with the wide ones, but good enough to be useful.

I'd totally forget to move them. Heck, I even forget to take the keys out of the car after I finish washing it, or to close the garage doors when I go back inside!

Very interesting. I can definitely relate to the frustration. It's not just the hose though; it's the PC cord/extention cord as well.
