Washing Frequency

These days I don't really subscribe to a fixed schedule; I just wash them when they need it. Heh heh, it's a far cry from when I washed my car *every* day (winter commutes in a Porsche C4) and did my wife's car every Saturday, but now that we're retired they don't need *nearly* as much attention. And life's too short....
 
Once every two/three weeks, do a QD after each wash (unless I polish/glaze), also a QD/Spray & Wipe in-between washes when I can.
 
Just depends on the season. Here in MI, it's rainy season so I do full wash once a week on the weekends and a QEW or S&W wash during the week as necessary (I don't like to leave standing water on the car after it rains.)



During summer, full wash on the weekend and QD/S&W as necessary (usually, it's not.)



The detailer in me would like to do it more often but lately, washing the car is taking a back seat priority wise to other things (new baby, consulting, etc...)
 
Once a week during the nice months.



Every other week during the crappy months.



Good ole' Zaino keeps my car protected, so I don't worry too much during the crappy months.
 
I wash the GTO about twice a week (once with QEW, once with a hose) and follow with a QD each time. I wash the Z06 about once every two weeks with either QEW or a hose and QD, as it does not get driven as much.
 
Once every two weeks on average unless it rains then of course sooner. I have three cars and a family so some times its a challange to stay right on top of them. My neighbors think I'm a obsessive car freak, well I suppose so since they see me out there every weekend washing one of the cars. I have too though because its one of the only consistant forms of excercise I get.
 
I wash once a week unless it gets really dirty and I need to go somewhere where I need a clean car in which case I'll wash it again.



I might QD every other week but in reality I get itchy feet and want to try new product combinations after about six weeks so tend not to bother.

the daily drivers are washed 1X per week unless it's gonna rain/snow within 24hrs. During the winter I'll still wash if the surface is truly horrific regardless of the weather forecast.



QD in between washes? Pretty rare.





I'd wash the daily drivers more often if there were 25 hours in a day. :o
 
EVERYDAY. The wife drives 140 miles round trip and lately she has killed every bug in Southern New Mexico.

Luck for me her internship at the hospital is over....today!



NORMAL MONTHS:

Once a week or two, depending on the dust, rain, etc.

Sometimes a QD can keep things looking good for several weeks.
 
At least once a week with QD. Depending on weather could be twice a week. And a dusting between washes.
 
Twice DAILY? If you wash your car twice daily you need professional help, and a job. I know this is Autopia, but that is messed up. (Referring to thread starting post.)
 
Wash the daily drivers whenever needed year round.

Garage Queen ( black Z28 Convertible) - 2 to 3 times a year (driven about 2-300 miles a year max) .

3 classic Muscle Cars - Never - they never see light of day.
 
I feel that twice a week is an acceptable figure for a daily driver. Thorough wash on Saturday/Sunday and a simple wash on Tuesday/Wednesday.
 
my car - every sunday @ dawn.. if bad weather then push to the next clear day..

mothers car/ dad van = every sat morning.. if bad weather then push to the next week.
 
Every Sunday at dawn as well. I dust, QD and IG the thing everyday. Wax every two weeks if needed or not. This my 88 Ford Ranger,250000 mile, driven 100 miles a day work truck. I love the shine.:D
 
Same here. Wash twice a week, cleaned with PB's S&W and QD'ed with either Adams QD or PB's S&G daily.
