The weather got bad. Now, this may not be a big deal fro some of you, but I live in Southern California. We usually are able to detail year round. I was so excited from the Victorias Winter Mystery Package arriving, I planned to shine up the truck and the car. I had also purchased Klasse AIO and UPP, I was going to compare them. However, this is what I woke up to . First time in over 30 years it looked like this in Yucaipa, CA. There was a slight chance of rain forcasted.

I'm from Rochester, NY where we get 200 or so inches of snow in a winter. You Cali boys are wimps. :D

Don't worry, it will melt and be back up to 80 in a few days.

Hey, I was in Korea for a year, I can take the cold. I just found it amazing that for thsi first time I order car care products on-line ( I alwys went with the store bought stuff before ) and it snows for the first time in 30 years when I plan to use them.

My Southern California raised co-worker is always talking about how nice it is there and how much she hates the cold. I'm have a blast with your photo!!

:yeah
I bet the freeway was like playing bumper cars for those who ventured out. Maybe you should read the snow tire thread, just incase. Possibly this could be a sign of that the end is near or atleast an omen of some sort.

I am dreaming of a White Christmas...
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

I have to admit, Californians cannot drive in the snow. I learned how to handle it in Korea and then I lived in Washington for 2 years. I came back here and when it rains or the anything that resembles rain the evening news will issue "Storm Watch 2004". Amazing. It has all started to melt and now maybe I can get one with my detailing.

I'll be driving through there Thursday. I think you can blame the snow in that region on Erie, PA. Everytim I drive through there, it's a blizzard. :brick

I take back what I said (though said in jest) about bumper cars, after a little snowfall. After a little drive tonight, I realized people in my area do not know how to drive in mild winter conditions. I hope all those involved are well.

Note: I did not think it was all that bad, but I do sometimes drive by the old rally adage, If you still have traction you are not going fast enough.

Snow & ice on the road do not frighten me, I respect what they do to the road surface & traction. What DOES scare me are the people who ARE afraid of the ice & snow, especially the ones in 4wd or AWD vehicles. You can see it in how they drive. The slightest loss or even a hint of losing traction and they panic causing chain reaction accidents with all the cars lined up behind them. The 'fearless' ones don't bother me either, they put themselves in a ditch and are out of everyone else's way soon enough.

I can't tell you how many mva's I have responded to involving 1st time owners of 4X4's and suv's. They think that they are invincible because they have 4 wheel drive.

It's not how fast you go, it's how well you can stop!
