I suspect some DNS went down and it took a while to propigate. I'm on BellSouth and we had big thunderstorms in the southeast yesterday.

It was really bad last week and I called them and they told me it was a DNS server problem...which they would fix as soon as they could figure out what was wrong. I complained that it had been slow for about the past week and I was told "we've been having latency [Comcast-speak for "slow"] since the DNS server went down last week".
How complicated is this that it takes them weeks to resolve a problem like this? Can you imagine the frustration you would have if you had VoIP???
