warm the heart for you carnauba fans

NattyBumppo

Strange name, ain't it?
Here are a couple shots of a certain bright red F150 immediately after a torrential rain storm. THe last month or so we here in the northeast have been getting frequent, heavy rains.

The product on the finish is Poorboy's Original Polish w/Carnauba...one day shy of one-month old. During the one month it had been bucket washed once, Spray and Wiped once, spent a week down at the Jersey Shore covered in sand and salt air dew, and basically got neglected.

That is great I am a fan of his products. I'm doing a wash/wax on a vette today and plan on using it.

Natty you the man:p

Awesome pics Natty! That's great durability for an AIO product!

Nice pics there Natty!!!

Sure isn't the same around here without you posting all the time:mad:

Yeah I can't wait for this weather to break, last year drought, this year you can swim in any creek you want:D

Thx rt.

Yea, what a difference from last summer. All this rain at least has kept the local stream temps down and the trout are doing very well. But when we get 2" of rain in one hour like we did yesterday the trout head for the hills!

Tried Polish with Carnuba for the first time today. Great product. Very non-critical of weather conditions. It was humid as hell today and it came off crystal-clear, but with a bit of the yummy carnuba glow. I don't know jack about showcar standards, but for someone who wants a daily driver to look incredibly good without killing themselves, i'm rapidly becoming convinced that Poorboys is the ticket. I love trying new products, but if I had to go with one line, PBs would be the one. I'm not just blowin' smoke up PB's azz either - if I had a negative criticism, I wouldn't hesitate to voice it, but I can't find anything negative to say. Compared to everything else i've tried, PB's does it as well or better and definitely with less fuss, streaking or BS. Oh- and it costs less than other enthusiast products - if that matters.

Excellent work Natty...your truck looks awsome... I need the shades now...;)

Ace thanks..it means a lot ....:)

I'm liking my pbs products a ton too. I did my sister's tarus today in 95 degree heat with an even higher heat index. All in the sun i went over it with my notron OB2 then pro polish and ex. All in the sun. Everything went on and came off without the slightest bit of trouble. I even let the ex sit there for about three hours. How would you guys rate the polish w/ carnuba to a round of pro polish and then ex?

That intrests me too Koop. I know I will do pro followed by EX on my personal car, but I am considering the AIO for customer cars.

I gotta try EX would it be good to protect from salt in the winter how many times would I have to apply to keep the protection there.

Steve (Poorboy) lives in NY, and ran nothing but Polish w/ Carnauba all through winter, and it still had protection left in the Spring. So I assume if you did a process of Pro, Pol w/Car, EX, that you would acheieve AMAZING winter protection.

I imagine it would allow for some protection, but not if you attack the paint with a chenille mitt lathered in saw dust after being dipped in oil :D

I just need a topper for AIO Like EX/ With Carnuba. Can Sealents actually protect from minor swirls.?

Weather induced swirls........... possibly? Human induced swirls......... probably not?

Just a theory.......... no proof?

now this thread is getting funny:D

no really...no matter what products you use, the plain fact is Tassadar is sort of right in his own little weird way....

if you're driving and something kicks off the car/truck ahead of you nothing will prevent a scratch or chip

if we're talking about self inflicted damage by cleaning and sorts, then most products that will allow you to get the smoothest adnd slickest surface without displacing product will help prevent minor scratching and scuffing.

using a product like Spray & Wipe with greatlubrication and little if no pressure on a well maintained vehicle will also reduce the amount of minoe surface scratches...but that's another thread;)
