Leave it to the Germans, 1Z Perls works quite well and adds a bit of protection. Slippery stuff as well.

Along with 1Z Lackfinish, these two work well for a quick wash and adding a QD type protection.

I switch between Z8 and Lackfinish every now and then.

All the soaps people have listed are very good.

Now, all I need is a foam bazooka:D This is as close to having your own tunnel wash, w/o the tunnel! If I go that route, I'd use the 1Z "DC" soaps which are used by DaimlerChrysler/Benz auto (tunnel) car wash systems. Or, some of the dayglo foams used for tunnel wash systems, which provides for amusment under black light in charity wash events.

Exclusiv Glanz is a little pricey, but not way out of wack. Its price is comparable to other high end products. Plus, a half dollar size amount is all that's required, so the small bottle does go along way.

I don't mind paying more for a product that offers more performance than cheaper alternatives. This soap definitely dissolves a larger variety of dirt/contaminants than most. That's worth the money, IMO. The finish it leaves behind is a bonus.

Rob, that's a good point. If we're introducing a value criteria, I can only suggest Griot's in a gallon size. Nothing touches that much goodness for so little $$$ :woot:

Enjoy!

If you don't want to re-up z7 look no further than tol's bubble bath, it's cleaning abilities and scent is much nicer than dg901, 901 is top's for otc though.

Just about any decent car wash shampoo with 1 ounce of ONR added! :2thumbs:

Why on earth would you do such a thing? eliminate all the suds that the traditional shampoo brings to the table? If you want to use onr use it, don't mix it with a traditional wash, it's counter productive. If you're going to take the suds out of the equation why not add a quarter ounce of your favorite aio, at least you're left with the slickest finish from wash you can get your hands on.

It's all about duragloss.

The only problem with duragloss is that to get alot of suds you need to use 1 oz/gallon and at that ratio it seems pretty harsh on LSP's. I'm almost through my 2nd gallon of DG CWC and I'm eyeing the griots.

Anymore input on the Griots?

I have used Poorboys Super Slick and Suds (not wax), Zaino Z7, Sonus (and a few others) and 1Z's Perls.

So far, nothing comes close to Perls. I really do love that stuff!

It never fails: the best my paint will ever look will be right after washing with Perls! Great stuff!

Any of the above mentioned products will serve you well. Investigate more into washing technique, tools used and improving such.

My favorite combo is Z7, Perls, QEW. 1 cap full of each in 3 gallons H2O. Great cleaning power, gentle on any LSP, great suds and lubricity.

I didn't vote since I have only used PB's SS&W which I did not really like. SS&S and DG 901/902 are my favorite car shampoos due to excellent performance-to-cost ratio. SS&W just did not compare well to these - it was not as "lubricious", did not rinse as well, and gloss just was not the same (surprising considering it contained wax).

This was pulled off the AG website (no flames though)

Add 1 ounce to wash water made with your regular car wash. No Rinse Wash & Shine’s advanced polymers and lubricants offer more surface protection and slickness than ordinary car soap alone. It acts as a water softener and conditioner to improve the quality of the water that touches your vehicle to provide the ultimate safe wash.

here in Greece we have 1z raindance. A good shampoo but no suds.

and my little question....what the difference between raindance and 1z glanz....1z perl???Is it just the name?

Well, I for one would like to see suds if using traditional washing methods, which is why I never use my onr buckets with traditional soaps, it just kills the foam, maybe some suggest for certain reasons, I'm just explaining the opposite side of the fence.

I personally have not noticed any decrease in suds using the combo I stated earlier (Z7,QEW/Perls) when I use the bucket & hose washing technique. Of course, the water source may come into play in terms of suds formation. :wavey
