Damn you finals! I'd be interested if my finals were SMACK DAB in the middle of that time frame..

One week later and I'd be down for sure! I graduate with my masters that saturday...

Bid has been submitted and no word yet on a green light.

Time is running out so things don't look so good.

No paint polishing will be involved. We will polish an all aluminum historic aircraft.

Dang!! bad dates for me....

Joe, next time I will, but I've already got quite a few jobs lined up for that week of December.

I know I will be missing out.:hairpull

Hey Joe if you need someone to get water and straighten out the extension cords I'm your man :spot

Really I'd love to help but a bad time of year to leave the shop let me know how you make out.

should be easier than the last one we did

Fellas,

I finally worked out the "details" on a b25 project.

The mission is to completely polish out an almost entirely aluminum WW2 B25.

We will polish very little paint. Our job will be to get the aluminum to shine like a mirror.

Monday Feb 23rd- Feb28th has been reserved for the project.

I do apologize for the short notice.

It is a paid position for experienced polishers even though I am letting a few volunteers help out.

The location will be at John Wayne airport in Santa Ana, Ca.

I am sure it will be allot of hard work but just as satisfying as well.

If you want in for the entire event or just partly please let me know ASAP as I am assembling the team now.

Thanks, Joe

Greg that's a B17, a B25 is much different and a bit smaller as well with twin tails.

Joe, I've already got a Houston trip planned for that week.... I'd love to polish a B25 but keep getting bad dates. 2 weeks is just not enough time to plan for something like that, otherwise I would be sooo in.

Maybe next time.

Yep your correct. I just googled the plane and the airport, and guess I posted the wrong link.

Cheers,

GREG

I'm a military brat so I grew up around air shows, I'd love to help on this project but the dates are just not seeming to work out for me on either time......

Very cool project. Make sure you post pics so we can see how it goes. Always been curious about buffing bare aluminum planes.

Today the fun has just begun!!
