Wanted bu UK guys a kind hearted US based Autopian

B&Q have the same 1.0mm2 twin orange cable @ £4 for 10m and £8 for 25m.

The 1.5mm2 I saw was only available as 3 core and on a roll to cut off at 78p per m or £40 for 100m

It may be cheaper elsewhere, :nixweiss yet

I did wonder which was pos and neg.
 
I am pretty sure the smaller terminal is postive (line voltage, black wire, copper colored screw) and the larger terminal is negative (neutral, white wire, silver colored screw). :nono

I think us UK guys have decided on the 'yellow' plugs & sockets. Can someone obtain 5 of each for us?



The most cost effective way to pay is by PayPal if anyone can do that. I can transfer an amount to you in $US via my Amex card



If anyone can oblige they can all be sent to my address & I'll distribute in the UK if that's OK with my UK buddies?
 
Maybe you should make a sign that says:



"Will Guiness for Electrical Sockets"



and wave it while standing outside the nearest American Military Post!

David at Autopia has offered to get the extension cords from his local hardware store... see the post for more details.
 
For those of you here in the UK who still want the plug/sockets only, I have been in touch with bretfraz, who has very kindly offered to pick some up and send them over to us. Thank you bret :bow



Once they land here, I'll let those who expressed an interest know, and sort out shipping with you all. I know some of you have ordered complete cables from David, so if you no longer want the plug/socket, thats fine. I'll hang onto the spares for anybody who wants them in the future :)

Yep... emailed a lovely lady called Roz. She told me if I order within the next 24hrs, she'll let me have it at the original price! Gonna phone her shortly. I knew I hadn't lost the ol' charm! :)

I've asked for 6 sets, the 3 early idiots here :D ,faceman and Alex, that leaves a spare set. AndyC is getting a full cable to stop him killing himself.

Ok guys, the connectors have been shipped :D



Total price for 8 sets incl shipping is $95.51. This converts to approx £54 which means they are £6.75 per set + UK postage which at a rough guesstimate will be around £1 to £1.50.



I'll let you know the UK postage when they land and are packed ready to post out.



If you want a set, please PM me your address. Payment by cheque or bank transfer please.



I have 2 spare sets if anybody else is interested in them
