Want to restore my dash shine!

As it says in the title, I want to get my dash looking like new. There's a mark on it from one of those sticky pads (you know, you put things on them and they don't slide off) Big mistake putting that on, it was only on there for like a month and nothing that I know of will remove the mark left. The dash also seems to be losing its luster (although this may be me being picky) I've tried AA and 303, neither of which removes the mark or seems to restore the finish. I think the dash pad is made of vinyl, but I'm not sure (I have an '02 Camaro.) Does anyone know of a really good restoration product I can use???

For the mark I would start with wd-40 on a terry cloth

(spray some on the cloth and hold it there, it should disolve the adhesive)

then clean all the vinyl surfaces with a good apc,

then try the aa again

The WD-40 worked great, took that mark right off. It also makes the dash shine like none other..is it safe to leave it on the dash? I'm thinking not, but I like the shine...

I really don't think you want to leave WD40 on the surface of the dash as I don't think that's good for the vinyl at all. I'd wash it off reelly well and apply 303 aerospace protectant again. Apply somewhat liberally with a foam pad i nlong strokes along the length of the dash, let it set for a few minutes, then wipe again with the foam pad. Do a final wipe with a clean MF towel.

No get the wd-40 off the dash

as it will disolve any adhesive!

again

I already wiped it off. I'll clean it again though. I always get such good, quick responses on this board, it's amazing. Thanks everyone.
