Wanna see a HIGH DOLLAR paint job??? Black '67 Goat

:drool5: The car looks awsome but, personally, 12 coats of clear is rediculous. It takes away from the color, makes it too glossy, makes it prone to failure and really isn't needed or beneficial. No paint manufacturer will ever recommend that much clear. If you want the absolute blackest black on a show car go single stage.
 
Ahhhhh...sweet memories of a bygone era of brute power. Not like the agility/handling of today's speedsters, but oh so much fun to cruise when we didn't know anything better. I'm sure your friend is quite pleased.

He told me the total car+restoration, including everything... he has $85k in it. The car is probably worth $50k... I'm guessing he's going to keep it.
