Walmart Micro Fiber

Has anyone other than me purchased the micro fiber towels sold at Wal-Mart? They are found at every store and are a pack of 5.

I'm not much of a connoisseur, however, they seem fine. Any comments on them? Should I not be using these?

They consist of 70% polyester/30% polyamide & are made in China.

I would wash them first before using. Do the CD test for sure if you are considering using them on the paint. Otherwise, they should be fine for other automotive surfaces and for cleaning around the house too :)

Just remember, even with the very best mfs, always do the cd test first, its always possible to get a bad batch that might scratch

The Wal-Mart MF are not bad. I have a bunch of them and for 5 for $5.00 you can't beat them. I use them now for my wheels, door jambs and windows. I save my good Pakshak's for qding, drying, or wax removal.

I agree with Pats300zx. I have over 20 of them that I use for everything except polishing and wax removal.

They work just fine (assuming you're talking about the Concordia 5-packs, some blue and some white). Take the usual precautions that you would for ANY towel the first time you use it:

- Remove labels

- prewash

- check corners and clip any hard nodules

Some of them lint, not all, and the blues bleed, but that's what the pre-washing is for.

Several people have performed successful CD scratch tests, including myself, on both colors including edging (again, check corners). I suggest you draw your own conclusion.
