Wal-mart MF

When people talk about cheap MF's, they also talk about the ones at Target. Are the cheap ones at Wal-mart almost as good. Or, I should head over to Target?

I'm just in Wal-marts more often...

Okay, it seems the group consensus for cheap MF's is that the Wal-mart towels aren't bad at all, but the Target towels are preferred...

Target MF's for me it is.

Okay, so the only reason I'm seeing why the Target towels might be a little better is due to that fact that they are more "plush". Why does plushness matter? Is plushness the issue? Anything else that makes the Target MF's better?

I just love knowing how and why this stuff works. Humor me and let me know if you will?

Can't tell how many who prefer target's has actually tried walmart's. :think2

Yes, it's possible Wal-mart's are actually better. But, this poll ain't scientific buy any means.

What makes a MF towel necessarily better? What's the big deal about "plushness"?

check out the vroom premium microfiber detailing towels. IIRC, they come in an 8pk in either gold or light blue in color. when i had last checked them out, they didn't feel too bad, but you will have to try them out to know for sure...

The ones at target hold more Liquid in them and they just feel better. You will use 2 regular 12x12 to clean the interior from Walmart. With the Target ones you will end up using less. That's basically it. They just hold and last longer. :)

I do want to try out some of those expensive one. But can't see spending $45 for 3 drying rags when in Walmart or Target they are $27 for 3 and I don't have to wait. IDK well see...

Levander are you talking about Drying MF towels of Regular sized ones for all other things?

We must be talking about different towels from WM. The ones I use are 2 packs, $3.75 or so and thick. Also 16x16. Brand is Microtek (sp?)

Here is some discussion on similar topic:

The more expensive Meguiar's Supreme Shine is no better than the Walmart towels from physical side-by-side inspection.

To prevent micromarring, I use the cheapest, but good quality, towel to remove compound residue. For removing finer polishes such as M205, PO203, PO106FA, PO85RD, I use the plusher towels. For sealants and waxes, I use ultra premium towels.

Use these Eurow O'Reilly Corp just *one time*, and you'll know exactly what plushness, softness, etc. is.

I've tried quite a few microfibers in my time. More than I'd like to admit, really. And there is just no substitute for the Eurows. They used to be cheap. Now they're just reasonably priced. Especially when you consider the quality of the towel.

I have yet to hear of anyone being disappointed by them. I'll scrape up the link to BigAl's long Eurow thread later after I've had my coffee.
