Waiting for shampoo - need wash now

I couldn't find any of the recommended shampoos in the Autopia book in my area. I ordered some shampoo and other stuff yesterday. We had a storm last and the new car I bought 3 days ago looks horrible. It will be several days before I get the shampoo - what can I do now? I feel like an idiot for asking this question. But this forum has turned me into a paranoid fanatic.

Actually, I think I list Meguiar's as one of the shampoos to use (It might be #00 that I mention, which is the same basic product as MG).

Meguiar's Gold Class Shampoo is really cheap and foams well, so I like it. Buy the larger sizes, like $7 for a gallon. That will last a LONG time for one car.

yea right - go to Target and buy a gallon of Meguiar Gold Class. I did that few

days ago.

It would cost you $15 to buy it direct from Meguiar ( have new catalog at

home ), but at Target - surprisingly - it costs only $9.99.

What a bargain ! And I have got a lot of gentle wheel wash for a long time :) LOL

(I do wax them with Blitz)

OK, I got the Meguiar's. It says to use an ounce. How am I supposed to know how much that is? Is that something you learn in detailing school? :nixweiss

They should use a cap that can be used for measuring like they have for liquid laundry detergents.

I don't know the size of my bucket, but I put a capful (I know, it's hard to pour into such a small cap) in the bucket. I say start with the capful and see how many suds you get. Then go up or down from there.
