Waffle Weave Towel no longer works?

OUCH

I have this Waffle Weave Towel that I got from Pakshak I've used it half a dozen times and washed it onced. Most of the time I use it with my California Blade but today I didn't have the California Blade with me so I just used the Waffle Weave and to my surprise the Waffle Weave were leaving streaks all over the glass and paint, and not only that but I couldn't dry my car, I had to ring it atleast 4-6 times, in the end I gave up and just a regular MF Towel.

Is this normal?

Towel must of had some detergent left in it. Or dried with a fabric softener sheet.

Try washing it again, W/O any detergent in the washer and see what it gives up in the washer. Possibilty the washer also had some residual detergent left behind in the lower area of the tub.

I run my washer first W/O anything in it to clean the tub. Then I put in my MF towels. The waffel get's washed first. The remainder MF get washed in another load as they have polish residue on them.

Waffel weaves suck up everything, and I believe that's what may have happened. I had to rinse mine several times to get all the detergent out of it one time. I use very little detergent from now on on these towels.

I love by PakShak waffle weaves, have never had your problem. Deanski's advice sounds reasonable. I usually wash the waffle weaves and regular MF's together. Maybe I should start separating them and using less detergent, just to be safe.

Did you wash your WW with your other detailing MFs? Maybe it picked up some residue of some kind (wax, polish, detergent, QD, etc etc). I'd go with Deanski and try washing it again, being sure to rinse all the detergent out. A Dawn wash in hot water probably wouldn't hurt (much?).

I wash all of mine together but I always run the rinse cycle twice and I have never had a problem with my Big Blue or my Pak Shak waffle weave.......both are great towels.

I've washed my 2 Pakshak WW's with my other towels used to remove Klasse and Platinum. Several times in fact. Never had a problem. Maybe you should contact Ranney. There is a possibility you got a bad one? :nixweiss
