W64DA - Poor Quality?????

To everyone who uses the Meguiar's Backing Plate.

This weekend, I finally had the opportunity to use my PC7424 with the W64DA. First off, let me say how much I love my PC but the W64DA for some strange reason just quit holding the pads! After 2 - 3 hours worth of use, the velcro part hardly holds the pads anymore. It's a real pain in the butt since every minute or two (Literally), I have to recenter the pad as it keeps slipping!

Anyone else experience this???

Thanks,

Paco

Zanio - pretty good stuff. Not awe inspiring but definitely pretty nice.

Easy on / Easy off. Can't beat that.

It happened to me too. Once the pad almost landed on the ground:scared

The strange thing is that if you wait just a few seconds before re-attaching the pad, it sticks way better.

the W64DA's suck, lets just say that....

if I had to count the times I dive-bombed to catch a pad before it hit the ground, I couldn't.

Thats why I got the 3M Hook-It plate - much much better on the sticking - almost too sticky IMO (gotta fight to get the pads off the plate), but its better than them flying off on their own whim.

Who carries the 3M Hook-It backing plates?

Has anyone tried making their own backing plates?

Viper,

Cmax here carries them and has them in stock. 6" is 44CDN. I'll be picking one up on Thursday. I'll update the Group buy thread to see if anyone wants them instead of the W64DA's.

There more pricey's then Meguiars version, but after using the W64DA, there's no way I will use it again. Far to fustrating.
