Just seen the 16x16 gray Vroom mf towels at Target, was in a 4 pack for 6.99.

these any good or dont bother?

I buy a pack every other week. Love them. The orange ones are not bad either, the gray are definately softer.

I use the grey ones for wax and polish. the orange ones I dont use on paint, and they arent as plush as the all purpose MF's you can get a pep boys etc as I posted pics of in the other vroom thread....

Same here. Really nice quality towels. I also get the 25 pack of MFs at Costco for glass.

i've got dozens of the vroom ones (orange and gray) but now I'm in love with the dark green detailing MF's from Kmart. They're Viking and I think they're softer than the vroom grays.

disclosure-I am a total amateur and don't know what I'm talking about.

Check the automotive section of your local Target store. They have some Vroom Microfiber car wash kits on clearance.

We Love Hot Deals - Target Vroom Microfiber Car Wash Kit $7.48 B&M YMMV

Includes 1 Micro Chenille Wash Mitt, 1 Flow Thru Brush, 1 Detail Brush, 1 Big Yellow Car Drying Towel, 1 Gray Polishing Cloth, and 1 Detailing Cloth (like the ones for glass).

All this for $7.48! (The drying towel is $8.00 if you buy it seperate)

Look for a gray box in the clearance area to see if they still have them at your local Target store.

Good luck,

Randy

I wanted to try those Viking's out...let us know how they work out.

After reading all the positive reviews of the Vikings, I finally found some. IMO, they are WAY nicer than the Vroom ones. The only problem for me is that the only distributor in my area (O'Reilly Auto Parts) had them on clearance and one of their associates told me they're probably discontinuing them since he no longer has a part # to order them from their warehouse. I also just received my first order of the Eurow shag weave MF and they are considerably thicker/more plush than the Viking. The Eurow are only 12 X 16 IIRC so they are smaller but wow are they nice. As affordable as both of them are, I don't think you'd regret having both.

both the viking and eurows are top notch...

i have so many of those i cant keep up with them. they are all over my house. I find them in places i could never even imagine finding them, but ya they are good. I use them for everyday use around the house and door jams and wheels and such. I prefer to use nicer ones on my paint but i have been known to use them when in a bind.

I agree! Thanks to you guys, I now have them both! But I can promise my next Eurow order will be for 2 or 3 packs - the shipping rate was kind of high for 1 pack. BTW, I figured out this weekend that the Viking edgeless polishing cloth does an awesome job with windows!
