Just as soon as you think you have the detailing thing down something goes wrong. I washed clayed poli-seal via PC and #26 two times. The car is 113k old and is daily driven so perfection is not the goal. There are no major swirls and I have not polished the car with anything more powerful than poli-seal in over a year. So my wash technique must be ok.

For some reason I have these hologram marks and I have no idea what caused them and they don't show up under halogen light. My guesses are 1. not leaving enough time between applications of products 2. applying them wrong. Who knows. I know the car is not autopia perfect but I'm posting these pics so that I and others can learn from my mistakes.

Thanks for your help guys.

I've had some pretty bad experiences with Volvo black...For some reason, it doesn't react well to oils (streaks to high hell). I stick with sealants only.

I agree with the others, you have some residue from something that isn't completely wiped off. Happens to all of us, believe me.

Your finish still looks really nice. :)

Thanks guys for the help. This has happened before with Klasse SG and this car. It must be something I'm doing. I wiped the entire car down with #34 and did not see any left over anything under halogens. For some reason this effect only comes out in real sun. Dam that sun. There was about a 4 hour break between one coat to the next and the first coat was put on right after the poli-seal. That might also have caused the problem. I never really bought into the whole wax having to set up for 12-24 hours thing but it might be right. Well the car is dirty already so I'm going to wash it in the next day or two and hope that clears it up. Is there going to be any big problem in doing that? Hope that fixes it. Thanks.
