AWFUL weather over the past week and for the next week, but managed to work this one in.

Windows: Rotary with LC cutting pad and AG Glass Polish



Hubcaps removed and scrubbed, first with a wheel brush and A2Z, then with a toothbrush and A2Z. Wheels and tires with A2Z, tires dressed with TOL Grape.



Minimal interior work--vacuum, clean mats, windows, etc...

Items of note:



*After using the PG with the polishing pad, it was a true debate whether or not to use the FP II. The PG does a very good job of breaking down with the rotary.



*I'm finding the TOL Grape dressing is extremely variable depending on the tire. This brick was wearing Michelin X-Ones and the look was a *perfect* satin glow. I previously used the dressing on some Michelin Hydro Edges and the look was far too glossy. Go figure.



*Special thanks to Mosca for the SEC and to Spilchy for the Saran Wrap tip (to avoid sling clean-up).
 
Looks nice! Volvo paint from the late 80's and early 90's is extremely hard -- I doubt even a Cyclo could remove all those swirls!

No joke. I'll know that from here on out:) The surface wasn't flawless by any stretch of the imagination, but she did regain some of her gloss.

With the multiple passes of polishing and compounding, the outside took roughly 4 hours. Only spent about 30 minutes on the inside for windows, dash surfaces, vacuuming, and spot removal in a couple of places on the carpets and seats (Woolite/water).
 
Unfortunately, no. It's the same on both sides and apparently there are trim pieces missing (not a fallen bumper as I thought initially). She has replaced both at $75 a pop in the past, so it's somewhat of a lost cause:( The Type-A in me wanted to run to the dealership for another set!

Bret and Lowejackson--the same couple of neighbors walked by several times while I was scrubbing the removed hubcaps, once with a large brush and finishing up with the Oral-B. I was waiting for them to send for some men in white coats from their expressions.
