VM questions...

how do ya like it?
hey, just got my first bottle of VM today, and i was very surpised to see how fluidiy it was. anyways, whats youre technique to putting VM on? do you just put it onto a foam app and buff on and off? also, how thick should i be making the coat? should i be going 2 x 2 panels at a time? thanks

Either hand or PC and foam applicator will work fine.....VM is a really nice product to use, youll be happy afterwards. NO dust or oily areas to contend with......Go thin, as with most products, thats the proper method. Your not painting it on, just applying a film of it. You can safely do a whole panel at a time without any ill effects......PC, go at about 4.0-4.5, by hand, just apply same direction as your polish or wax/sealant.....

I usually put on VM with my PC and a megs polishing pad on about 4.5 and get great results. Work it in until is almost clear on one panel at a time and then buff off with a terry cloth towel or MF buffing towel and then move on to the next panel.

PakShak has a great suggestion. I've used that combo with great results or even possibly some Megs #16 paste wax.

Enjoy the VM.

I crank the PC up to 6 and go to town with VM. Pretty much anything works great over it.

I do the same thing, I throw a orange pwoer pad from CMA on and go between 5-6. Dont be afraid if you use to much. VM is truly the easiest product I have ever worked with.

k, thanks for the help. so, you guys prefer using the PC rather than doing it by hand???

also, what type of pad are you using? polishing pad or finishing pad?

Used VM today for the first time (even though I've had it for about a month) and yes, it is the easiest product that I have used to date. It was simply amazing, the results obtained from this product. It was topped with EX-P and the owner couldn't believe her eyes.

Vanilla Moose works very well by hand, but even better using a PC. I use a Meguiars polishing pad (W006).

yea, thats the same thing that i did.

scottwax: how much VM do you usually put on your pad?? im afraid that th VM may saturate my pad. ill try using the PC next week. the PC would probably give me a much more consistant finish. how about EX-P, do you go by hand, or with the PC?

I do both by PC. I use a polishing pad for VM at 4.5-5 and a finishing pad at 3 for the EX-P. I wish I had taken pictures today. :(
