VM and EX-P bonding why it works?

It seems like most sealants want a virgin surface but the go to combo for awhile has been VM + EX-P. Why do I have luck with this and others as far as bonding and durability, or better yet why is it reccomended?:)

I think I remember Steve from PB saying that VM and EX-P work for some reason.

But every other sealant its heresy to not have a virgin surface;) !

Is EX-P not a true sealant in the sense?

I'm no expert so help me understand or throw out your best guess

Thats it:xyxthumbs

I'm not sure it does work. Bonding has to be compromised with such an oily base. BTW, I've used this combo hundreds of times, but durability isn't a problem with the cars I maintain ... I'm always applying something.

In the near future I'll be working with either PB's Pro Polish or AIO for my base.
