Considering these two models. Interested in knowing more about the upgrades on the VM-3000 sold by attention to details and if it is helpful in real world applications or is the VX-5000 sufficient for a couple hundred less?

Thank You!:)

I've had the 5000 for almost 3 years, high quality, long run times, GREAT customer service, and solid build.

Worth every penny!

Cheers,
GREG

Let's throw another option in the mix: would it be at all worth it to get a Dupray Hill Injection over a VX-5000? I've been trying to determine if the Dupray would provide enough advantages to justify the significantly higher price...

I used the one Kris (The Gloss Boss) owns a couple weeks ago, and the thing is wicked. I had a Vapor Chief a long time ago, and this one is just as good if not better than the VC. I forgot how much I love commercial grade steamers :)

i don't know if you clean cars for a living but if i was one that did, the dupray would be the machine i'd want. i own the 3000 and i only do my cars and stuff around the house and its more than enough machine for my purpose.

I have had a VX-5000 Steamer for several years in my shop and it works great, is small enough to fit in a Detailing Cart along with all the tools, chemicals, towels, etc., needed to take around any vehicle and get great steam pressure (65psi) and temp (192 deg F I think) to do anything for an Interior Detail.
It comes with a huge amount of different adapters, pole extensions, brushes, etc., to last a long time, before you have to re-order these pricey things. Its made in Italy and is all stainless steel, the preferred metal for the best steamers.
The guy sells them out of Missouri I believe, so maybe he will be close to you ?

I did research on this awhile back on trying to decide which of the 2 were better. On paper they are extremely similar, but the shear number of VX5000 owners and great feedback really sealed my decision. VM is good, I did hear some reliability issues. VX5000 wise every owner was pleased and never had any issues. Might have to dig the info up, but I'd vote VX all the way.
