I can't belive this guy got to touch these cars... Even the yellow on had swirls

That last one on the first post looked like buffer swirls. I coudl be wrong though. That is sad though. There are some sick swirls in the second post too.. ICK!

 Pat, Oh man were those cars bad. Did you happen to have a chance to talk to this guy? He really shouldn't be allowed to touch any car, let alone these rolling works of art!

I think I'll cry now.

I didn't even look at his car while i was there but now looking at it he lives in the same town i live in i should got and beat him up.. I can't belive a hack like that even can touch a car....

Looks pretty bad.
But to be fair, we don't know the condition of the cars before this guy detailed them.
I don't know if it was even him, maybe just some lazy or unskilled workers (which is just as bad imo).
All the finishes arent perfect, but some have more swirls than others, and only one looks like it has buffer trails. So it could be this guy was only paid and given enough time to do a simple 1-step on these vehicles.
Then again, "rags in a box" is hardly a tool for fine detailing. Beat 'im up.

Unfortunately, this is quite common at car shows.
Unfortunately, being swirl free isn't a priority for most people.
Unfortunately, being swirl free is not something that many people know how to achieve.

Fortunately, my vehicles don't look that bad and your thread makes me feel much better.
Getting complimented on how good my "new" van looked last night helped, too. Same old 1998 with 149,000 miles. Not perfect, but probably as good as it was from the dealers when it was new.:D

Pat,

Hack sounds like a good term for this guy. A "box of rags"? Gee, try some MF's buddy you might like them. I think the detailing police definitely need to pay him a visit. Charles is right, most people don't know or care about swirls. I see them every day and want to cringe. The owners of the Ferrari's need to be educated methinks.

Paul

Sad to see a so called professional brag about that work, maybe he wants to come to Detailing Day :lmfao

On another thought...if some of those are road racers, like the one with all the chips, and the ones with lettering and #'s then that type of paint would be expected as those cars take a beating on the track and they quite possibley could have been much worse before being detailed:dunno

Geez, that black hood look like came out from a sand storm or something.
One one thou, a black car is very hard to maintain zero free swirls..Its a fact.
