Wow!

What can I say, a truly fun day!

Meguiar's invited me, (more so my car) to be part of their 2005 product release. Let's just say I was very honored to be chosen. Errrrrrr.... I mean that my car was chosen, since Brad Pitt I am not!! :D

The car & I were picked up at 9:00am and unloaded at 11:00am.

The shoot took place at a ranch in Encinitas, CA (North, San Diego County). The weather was perfect...65 degrees and sunny! The location was just a few miles inland from the ocean. Lots of beautiful homes on the winding roads through the hills on the way, and horse trails everywhere with many riders enjoying the day!

The shoot started around noon. Pizza took priority before the filming started. Yummy!

I parked the car in the proper position, that ended my work for the day. :D

The Director pulled all the moving parts together. Time to film!

One of the first filming sequences was with Gold Class Soap.

Mike Pennington of Meguiar's was the model/actor for the day.

Last were still-photos for the new catalog.

still shots here.

When the action was finished, Meguiar's offered a free detail from Customer Care expert, Jose Torrez. The Viper really needed it after all the rain Southern California had for the last few weeks. Thanks Jose!!!!!!!

This was a real fun look at what goes on behind-the-scenes of catalog and commercial work. I observed that it takes a lot of patience and a good crew to pull something like this off. Quite the learning experience for me!

Thanks to everybody at Meguiar's for being CAR CRAZY!:xyxthumbs

LOL :D :D :D :D :D Wat too funny! Any Vipers over there, James?

Yeah there are a few Vipers around here. I seen at least 3 last year in town. I went for a quick ride in one at a Dodge show. They had the SRT4, SRT10 and the Viper and they took people for a shot around the oval they had set up in the parking lot. It was a amazing ride.

I went to that same Dodge event but in Montreal and it was an amazing ride, except by the mid point of the day, all the SRT10's were dead because of broken axels. It was fun though watching the Dodge brass rushing around and getting the SRT10's off the track and out of view...lol

Damn that would suck. These ones didn't break down. I also drove the 300C and the Jeep TJ that day. It wasn't bad.

Ya it sucked for Chrysler and the people that didn't get a ride, luckily I was able to get a couple of rides in before they were retired. I actually drove every car in their line-up and the event was held at Transport Canada's vehicle test facility so I was able to drive them all on a real race track and drive the Jeep's on a true off-road course. Overall, a fun day :xyxthumbs

Damn. :xyxthumbs They had a small test track set up to drive the cars and a off road course set up for the 4 wheel drives. Nothing crazy but wasn't bad.
