Vinyl, rubber, and plastic dressing with the most shine.

Steve, if the plastic is as hard as I'm thinking, say like the really hard plastic on your battery, actually, the best thing to get that has high gloss may just be a sealant.

For example, the interior of my Dad's C4 'Vette has lots of hard black plastic. I have several layers of Klasse SG on it. Also, I have it on the entire underside of the hood.

Even modest amounts of layers will last a long time and it's one less product you have to go out and buy just for this the application. It's the answer for me.

Wolfgang Black Diamond Tire Gel - it's killer on rubber seals, vinyl dashboards and centre consoles.

Got it on my cars seals, gorgeous stuff, non greasy and lasts ages

A jet black slick shine with no mess that sprays cause.

Bill D, I use klasse sg on any hard black plastic, shiny or not. It works wonders and I apply coat after coat every five minutes and the shine is awesome.

My mothers brand new ford territory has awesome exterior trim just like that and I coated it with SG before we even left the dealership today

It truly is the answer for me when it comes to exterior trim and hard plastic surfaces

Bill, I use AIO on the smooth black trim around the windows, it works great. I want more shine though for the parts in the engine.

I purchased some Armor All Utra Shine. It is a thin milky liquid like many of the other dressings that contain the good silicones. It has much more shine though and I like the look in the engine compartment. Wonder if it does contain the good stuff? I'll stick to 303 for the rubber seals and hoses though. I also use 303 on the entire interior including the leather and on the tires.

I also purchased some Megs Natural Shine (the stuff in the red bottle). This stuff is nasty. It's a thick slimy liquid and is messy to apply. Took it back.

Use layers of SG over AIO, AIO alone is not shiny enough,. It will be a much better and longer lasting job overall rather than resorting to those spray and aerosol products we discussed.

Yep, I'm a fan of 303 on all rubber also. Ditto on the Nautral Shine. :down . Hope they discontinue it.

Ultra shine is basically the same as Armor All Original, but has a higher concentration of PDMS. MSDS

Here's the one for AAO. MSDS

They also have a product called Armor All Low Gloss, which just has a lower concentration of PDMS. MSDS

So by varying the ratio of PDMS, they get different gloss levels, which is why you can use multiple coats and get almost the same effect (the cleaners will remove some of the previous coat's PDMS). I think that 303 has a very high concentration of PDMS. I prefer the lower gloss level of Armor All Original and I use it on all of my plastic trim and my tires. If I ever find the AA low gloss locally, I think I'm going to get some just for use on my dash.
