Here's one of my favorite vintage small TV sets.
Managed to grab this FREE off someone getting rid of it on craigslist.
I called 2 times, no answer. Called a 3rd time and got a hold of the person.
They said they were going to throw it away for recycling or give it to Goodwill,
but then listed it on craigslist to see if someone wanted it.
Anyways, I went to go see it and to my amazement, the thing is near mint !
It looks like it was hardly used ! The picture on it is still great too !
It was manufactured in Japan May 1976.

Wow!  Love the red case!

I have the white/beige case too.

I Bought it at an estate sale in February 2014. Too rare to pass up !
It is in real nice shape, a bit yellowed ontop because the owner had a 1980's Samsung cable box on it (which I took as well)
The set also came with the pedestal and owners manual.
Here's a few pics and video.

Heh heh, yeah...I can just imagine, I suspect you and I are birds of a feather (guess why I go by "Accumulator" ;) ).

These days I don't really actively collect (or even "accumulate") all that much...got too much stuff already.  You name it, I probably have at least several, not gonna get into details over the internet ;)

I will say that our home is very 19th-mid-20th century with regard to what it's overflowing with, along with innumerable books.  Gonna be quite a job settling the estate some day...getting to the  point where that's a genuine concern.

Wow!

Those TV's are in amazing condition for their age.

I've only seen audio gear that well preserved (and not too often at that), never TV's. Great finds.

Rob.- Are you getting to the point of "where do I put all this stuff?!?" yet?  We've thinned things out just a little so the house keeps looking like a museum (concensus opinion of friends, not my take on it)it) as opposed to an antique mall.

Speaking of museums, I'm not nearly as bad about collecting/accumulating as my late father was; he once bought the contents of a (smallish) museum when he heard they were gonna close down, kept the vast majority of it too.
