Viking MF very good choice

I have two of the gold Vikings that I use exclusively for drying. I do a full pass over my car with the first one (holds a ton of water, easy to wring out), and then I use the second one for getting all the nooks and crannies, as well as going over everything I did in the first pass to make sure it's completely dry. I have a rather large car (older MB s-class sedan), and two of these things are easily able to dry my car.

Are you talking about the edgless low nap towel? That towel is great for product removal but it's suprising that you are getting good results drying with it.

I've never had much success drying with a MF towel, it just seems to push the water around when it's dry. I tried dunking the MF in clean water, wringing it out and this seemed to make the MF more absorbant and this worked best on a warm day.

MF's are washed properly (pre-soaked, mimimal soap, no bleach, fabric softner, or power detergent, and air dry) and rinsed thoroughly 3x with some vinegar on the last rinse so I think they are being maintained properly.

I still prefer WW for drying, it works best for me.

just picked up (k-mart) the green viking quick detaling towel and it's soft, plush, and very nice! the green quick detailing towel actually is the same size and weight as the old blue microfiber drying towel but it uses a new weaving style called "slow-weave". what they do is slow the machine way down so it produces that really soft and spongy feel. :up
