Victoria Chaos Wax vs Dodo Juice Wax

Chaos i tried before it came to market, my opinion was simple; It isnt better then Concours. Even though it boasts "extra polymer" over Mayhems "polymers". I did not find it that great in terms of looks. Decent protection and good releasing of dirt though. Get Conours (the red one)!

The Dodo waxes are expensive for what they are and all my other opionions and reviews are else where on the site. The only noteworthy wax is Supernatural, which has sealant type look and you can buy better.

You can get all Dodo for pretty cheap right now because of the euro dropping. Most dodo's are around $48 right now at RB's website, supernatural is $78 for the 200ml and $115 for the wooden pot.

Dunno, for me the differences between the Vic Chaos and Concours are VERY pronounced. The Concours has the signature Victoria Wax look, which is a very balanced, natural, understated look. The extreme light/shade lines are very defined, crisp, and the whole appearance has a solid, standing water-type wetness.

Chaos is more reflective, but retains the characteristic look, but the wetness factor is dialed towards the dripping wetness direction. Overall reflectivity and definition is very high; the look is comparable to a carnauba topped with an acrylic QD. I like the overall optics of Chaos, and it has its definite place, especially for those who love the flashier appearance.

Concours is a more honest product which is ideal for higher class vehicles finished in more understated colors.

SN has a sealantish look, without being sterile, with great reflections. Also nice.

Thats what i call decent looks :xyxthumbs I agree with the commenst about Chaos its what i often call "faux".

What durability did you get from Chaos if you saw it through to its conclusion?

Geoff

Durability was very surprising. I managed to wash my daily driver only twice during the whole winter. I applied the Chaos/Mayhem duo at the middle of November and they were beading happily after the second wash which was on the last week of February. I stretched them a bit further, but the panels started to show uneven beading characteristics; as the center sections of the panels were still OK, but the "frame" of the panels was definitely pooling. But the look was still there.

Pooling is an interesting thing though, when you are monitoring durability. It doesn't mean that the LSP is completely dead! When the water just pools on the surface, you have to wait! The pooling water is maybe just too thick and heavy and the remaining LSP is powerless in this situation. However, as the entire sheet of water dissipates, it gets thinner, lighter and when it reaches the threshold, BAM! The LSP is suddenly able to tear the pooling water up and it starts sheeting. This behavior shows definite signs of protection, so don't judge the LSP and its water management too early.

I have both Chaos (and Mayhem) as well as Dodo's Supernatural.

I love all three. I don't notice a big difference between Chaos and SN, so Chaos would be the better value. I don't think you can go wrong with either of them though.
