Hey, I've noticed you've used simple green quite a bit for treatment on carpet. Do you mind explaining to me what you do? I don't touch my carpets with simple green even at a low strength for fear it's going to stain.

I usually dilute it 10:1, water:simple green. I basically just mist it over the carpet and upholstery, and let that "marinate" for 10-15 minutes before I go back over it with the extractor with upholstery cleaner in it.

I haven't had one stain, yet, from it.

Hum, I may have to try that out one time and see if helps at all. I don't have the luxury of using a hot water extractor at the moment (used to), so I usually just use folex alittle water scrub with a brush and extract with my shop vac. Alittle simple green may help with some stains and smell. Thanks.

Simple Green Recommends 30:1 for carpets....10:1 seems pretty high, and Ive had simple green stain towels before so I wouldnt risk it esp since there are better cheaper alternatives

Also I wouldnt use WD-40 in an engine, with a flashpoint of 122degrees your asking for trouble, esp since its primary ingredient is Hexane

Neither have been a problem thus far, and with over 100 clients, I haven't heard one complaint about it.

I let the WD-40 evaporate for several hours before starting the engine, and make sure to wipe down all excess.

I'm well aware that it's not the "Autopian Approved" way, but it works for me, and more importantly, it works for my clients.

Too each his own I just wouldnt risk an engine catching on fire over a couple dollars, its like saying because Ive never been directly shoot at overseas I should just stop wearing my body armor. It only takes one time for it to screw you over
