Vacuming

I have a 1.25hp vac. It doenst pick up alot of stuff like hair and some dirt. I was wondering if a lint roller would be good for the stuff not goten buy the vac. Any other ideas?

Use a small brush to move in front of the vac nozzle to lift dirt and get into tight places.

I have a carpet brush that I normally use to scrub floor matts with soap. I'll also use it when vaccuming a dirty carpet. You can really losen a lot of dirty up and bring it to the surface just by using a carpet brush dry.

You can use masking tape to pick up dog hair and other debris.

i also find that masking tape is a great method. it's cheap and it works just fine.
