There is no cure!
i have a 5 horsepower wet dry shop vac that cleans well but doesnt suck everything up. well atleast the the dirt that is actually imbedded into the rug. is there any product that u might spray and and make it easier for the vac to suck it up... or is it something a carpet brush and elbow grease should clean up

I have a 5 hp vac and it works great but when it doesnt i vac once.. then agitate the carpet with brush.. I can usually get it into and pile and then vac again. Im not firmiliar with a spray that loosens dirt. You could use an apc but that wouldnt make that vac suck it up easier i think.

wow! dont i feel stupid... lol... bristle brush. thats the answer.... sorry for the un-searched question...

i actually got the answer from reading a basic interior cleaning article. i guess the reason why i didnt know it already was because everytime i have read them i the pasT i would always skip that step (its the first and simplest step) because i thought vacuuming was just Vamuuming... i would pay more attention to the other info instead...

ill mkae sure to read and search first next time...

I read in a detailing eBook to hit the carpet with the palm of your hand in front of your vac hose or vac tool. This breaks loose the embedded dirt/sand. I've had good luck with it. Good luck.

You might actually want to check the motor and filter for clogged hairs and dust. I cleaned all the crud out of my shop vac and it made a HUGE difference.

To get a good deep down cleaning, I usually blow the carpet with compressed air before vaccuming. You wouldn't believe how much stuff you can bring to the surface. It stirs up lots of dust so wait and do it when you are doing the whole interior.
