So Autopia-carcare does it? what other supply or detailing sites ship USPS??? sure saves us a bundle here in hawaii to not have to go 2nd day shipping via air on UPS or FED EX

I'll start....

PROTECTALL will ship USPS by request

I love USPS service but hate their tracking system. Always seems behind and only tends to give tracking "after" package arrives.

Nevertheless, love USPS that DavidB uses when I order stuff from the west coast. :xyxthumbs

It is kind of frustrating, isn't it? I guess it is more of a proof of delivery system than a tracking system.

I have all my Autopia orders shipped USPS due to FedEx never leaving notices.

I have also received USPS from Excel Detail, Top of the Line and Poorboy's. I'm sure there are a few others I've left out that I've ordered from.

The unfortunate part is Autopia-Carcare don't do it to Canada and thier $15 International rate converted to Canadian funds = $20. Pretty big pill to swallow if your buying a $14 Purple Passion drying towel .

PakShak ships USPS

JT International ships USPS

CMA ships USPS

Glad you said that ! Autopia say my parcel is shipped, USPS says they have no record of the item :nixweiss

Hopefully it will turn up in the UK before USPS even know they shipped it !

Ones that will ship via USPS to Canada are:

Protectall

Why would you need Protectall to ship to Canada when they already have distributors here in Canada? In fact I met the western Canadian rep (based in BC) in person when he drove through Edmonton earlier this year on his way back from Manitoba. (super nice guy btw).

I think most of the online stores will ship USPS if you ask. If they refuse than they don't want your business too much. In this case take your business some place else.

If I remember correctly Autopia Store does ship USPS. I spoke to David O on the phone when I placed my last Autopia order and he is excellent to deal with. They are very Canadian freindly;) They understand about the "other fees" we pay when the product hits the border. This was taken care of.

I generally ship FedEx because I can get the same package there faster and (believe or not) cheaper than USPS.

Ex: For a 5 lb package to OK for CA.

USPS: $8.58 / 6 days to ship.

FedEx $ 6.80 / 4 days to ship.

The only time I've found that USPS is a better (faster/cheaper) is when shipping to HI. But even then I hesitate to do so because if the poor tracking experience I've had with USPS. Ya just have to ship and pray...

They should alter thier ordering page to reflect this .. there is no allowance for it there.

Yup... shipping to hawaii is cheapest with USPS. thats why i started the thread!

Hats off to AUTOPIA! I just ordered for the 2nd time this week. I pretty much try to keep my shipping costs to less than 25% of the order. I'd say there are some nice products MISSING from their online store, but they cover the products they endorse. I hope thats cause they like the products so they add them, and not the other way around... oh well. I'm happy to place a 3rd order if i need to.

The Delivery Confirmation system is a bit behind the time... but other than that, I love using the USPS!

That's the only way I ship ebay items!

Well, the closest distributor listed to me was not, shall we say, "enthusiastic" about selling the products. I drove a few hours to get there (on my way elsewhere, otherwise I'd have phoned first) and was told basically that "the stuff doesn't sell." I asked if they had any QEW.

'What?"

"QEW. Quick and Easy Wash. You're listed on the Protectall website as a distributor."

" No."

" Would you be getting any in, could I order some?"

"Nope. I'd have to order too much to make it worthwhile. Now this stuff here is good stuff!"

"Is it a waterless wash?"

"A what?"

"Can I wash the car without a hose to rinse?"

"Well, no. You need a hose. But it works on all RV surfaces!"

"I wanted a waterless wash for my car."

"........"

"That's what QEW is. You can wash your car (or RV) without having to have a hose to rinse."

"......."

"How were you trying to sell it?"

"..... Well, nobody wants that type of stuff anyway. You interested in this stuff here?"

That's how I decided to order online. I did check with some of the other Canadian vendors listed, but some didn't ship, and others hadn't planned on shipping, but would, but ended up being higher than ordering from Protectall.

Not that I wouldn't have bought from a Canadian vendor, it's just that things didn't seem to click quite right.

I like USPS compared to FEDEX or UPS. All three have worked for me. But USPS can pick up from your house, they give you free shipping supples! ( i have 50 small boxes and 440 stickers) and everything is done online. I trust em because they run a systematic order around my house.

Simple & Easy... and cheap!

I have ordered from many companies and people from the US. Some are definitely better than others at shipping to Canada. If they remember that we have to pay exchange -duty(on some) -shipping -and a broker fee(on some) maybe even tax. Why would i, as a first choice, order something that is $25US and have to pay $50 to $60. When i could do an internet search and look for the same or simular product in Canada. If they could find the cheapest shipping, label (some) as a gift or of no value or whatever to takes to make it more attractive. I still order from the US but i make sure that it is worth it.

When being in the USA, I found the best way to ship is Airborne express (now DHL). Their ground service is as fast as the competition 2nd day service, and cheaper than USPS. The best thing is that you can find one at each OfficeMax. :p

However, shipping international is cheaper to buy an airplane ticket, as ALL the companies are expensive.

I don't know where you get the 6 days from. Priority shipping?

I have sent out over 2000 orders and from N Va to LA takes 3 days. I send it out friday and it's there monday.

I had the exact same problem, but I finally found a local shop that sells QEW and they said they have a hard time keeping it in stock since it's so hard to find locally. The downside is, it's a lot more expensive in Canada (like most products)

Hi, serrow!

Another option is to use FedEx Ground. Yes, they do ship ground service to Hawaii, where UPS won't offer a ground rate to us here in the 808 State. Substantially cheaper than air, and faster than USPS in my experience. Problem is not everyone has a FedEx account. Give it a shot, works for me.
