Using Tape during Polishing.

Stokdgs- Yeah, but you`re a seasoned Pro ;)

But seriously, the Cerium Oxide (?) I`ve seen people use always appears to be pretty runny/messy stuff and I`m just sooo paranoid about an "oops!" :o

And !oh man! if I ever got rotary holograms on glass....I know, I know..but holograms are maybe my #1 phobia. Well, one of `em anyway...

Try this - get a bottle of Zaino Z12 Clear-View Glass Polish; it is very easy to use and with a machine, (even with a Porter Cable 7424) makes quick work of glass leaving a really nice finish.. No problems, no issues..
Never leaves holograms, removes completely..

I use it on Client`s glass all the time, especially the sunroof.. And I always tape off the rubber around the glass first.. 2 pieces of tape - half around on 1 side, the other half from the other side..

Nah, I`m a talented amateur...like Usain Bolt or Michael Phelps ;) IMO one isn`t a Pro unless paid to do it, but that doesn`t necessarily imply a lack of expertise. (Yeah, yeah I know :o I do belabor that point; I`ve trained in, uhm...serious things...with people who do that stuff for a living. No matter how good I am, there`s still a difference between me and them and I won`t disrespect those people by putting myself in their category. Figure it oughta be the same with people who Detail cars for a living too.)

Anyhow...

Thanks for the tip on the Z12, maybe that`ll end up being the first Glass Polish to satisfy me. I`ll definitely keep it in mind when I`m ready to get serious about this topic.
