can you do this with polishes like duponts teflon wax or meg. gold class or will it be pointless?

what products do you use several coats of to create that show car look?

heres an example:

if i use 2 coats of 3M show car glaze #39007, will it look better then if i only did 1 coat?

and do i put 3M liquid show car wax ON TOP of the glaze? or are there fillers or abrasives in the wxa that will take the glaze off? little help here

I put that Dupont Teflon crap on top of 3M Perfect-It 3000 glaze, and it didn't make any difference that I could see.

I wouldn't buy that Dupont stuff... it's like $8 and I found it hard to remove. Crappy product.

As far as glaze goes... I think once you put 1 coat on it's pretty much as shiney as it's gonna get. I'm not sure but I don't think multiple coats will really do anything, since it's different than a wax/sealant.

And yes, wax (not sealant) can be put overtop of glaze.

Yeah, there seems to be a limit to how much glaze you can put on there. At some point you're putting glaze on top of glaze (instead of glaze on top of paint) and then it just wipes off when you buff it.

Wax over glaze is a time-tested approach that works well. If you're worried about stripping the glaze just be gentle about applying the wax.

If you want to layer coats of wax in one session, you might oughta look up "spit shining" ;) FWIW, I believe there can be benefits to applying multiple "layers"...OK.."applications" ;) of some LSPs like Gold Class that contain light cleaners. Just be really gentle about how you do the subsequent applications.
