Using PC on Glass

Background:



- I have a new PC about to arrive.

- I've never used one before.

- I have some nasty water spots on my glass. I've tried Autoglym Glass Polish, Glass Scrub, etc. by hand & they won't budge.



I'm thinking that I would like to try using the PC with some Autoglym (or Sonus Glass & Crhome Polish). But I'm wondering whether this is risky :scared: given that I'm a complete newbie with the PC. In addition, I know that my glass is soft, as I've had some troulbe with scratching previously :wall



Thoughts?
 
Autoglym Glass polish + PC+polishing/cutting pad = no more crap on windshield :D Just dont be smoking when you open the bottle of Autoglym glass polish and all will go well ;)
 
Glass was the first thing I did with my PC. Used Zaino Glass Polish. I looked at it this way-glass is harder than paint. I figured that the glass would be a great practice surface to play with the PC, learn how it moves, how the speeds feel, etc....without the chance of screwing anything up. I can even remember practicing the patterns in the roadfly tutorial on the glass-and it was easy to see the overlaps and how the product spread.
 
I've often used my PC on glass. To me, it's the fastest and easiest way to get stubborn waterspots and other crap off. AIO on a 4" cutting pad = everything is off the glass.
 
I've tackled some harsh waterspot etching on glass that had been there for over 2 years. AIO and AG glass polish didn't touch it. Finally took out SSR3 w/ cutting pad and that finally removed it all.

Clay will do pretty much nothing if it's etching.
 
1) Vinegar

2) Clay bar

3) Chrome polish with a polishing or cutting pad (by PC=

4) Strong chemical cleaner by PC, also polishing or cutting pad (AIO is a good one, I use the dreaded NUFinish and its strong cleaners work wonders....)

5) Glass cleaner
