using OP on glass and/or plastic

My windshield has lots of wiper scratching and marring, and its really annoying when the sun is bright or at stoplights at night. Is it safe and OK for me to polish the outside of my windshield with the UDM and OP with a white LC Pad? If so, do I just treat it like paint? Is there any real risk to polishing glass like this?

Also, I think I have gotten swirling or something in my tail lights (haha). Should I use plastx by machine (thinking of using the cheap pad that came with the UDM) or am I good to use OP there too?

Thanks!

Sean

I don't think you can do too much (good or bad) with OP and a UDM on glass. I've tried to polish some scratches out of windshields and glass is so hard compared to paint it was not very effective. The other side of the same coin is if you attack the windshield with any agressive approach you might distort the optical clarity which would probably be more annoying/unsafe than the scratches.

Can't speak to OP on the plastic tail lights, but I have used the PB's SSR's on plastic light lenses with decent results.
