Using NXT Spray Wax Wet?

Has anyone used the NXT Spray Booster Wax wet, like after you washed you car right before drying? On the back of the bottle it says that it can be used wet like the EO Wax-as-u-dry so I am wondering how it performed compared to the EO product. Was it difficult to use wet or steaked? I keep reading how difficult the NXT Spary wax is to use, so i wonder if it works better wet. I used the NXT Tech wax and was going to use the EO WAUD as a maintence step after each wash, but if the NXT Spray Wax works just as good or better after a wash I would rather use that over the Tech wax. Thanks

Hello SR77,

I personally would not do it. I did it once and sort of made a big

mess. In general, I find the NXT spray wax somewhat difficult

to use (spread, wait for hazing, then wipe). To me this is

about 90% of the effort of using the regular NXT wax - so I just

do the real thing.

Some pro on the board also suggested a good method.

On a dry car, he spread the spray wax with one side of a MF

towel. He wiped it off immediately with another side of the

same MF towel. I have tried that and most of the time it worked.

(but I got smearing from time to time - when this happened,

I redid the spray, wait, and wipe and everything would be fine)

Just my $0.02...

Eh, I didn't like NXT spray wax either. Never tried it with a wet car, but I think it was a PIA to remove once hazed. I probably won't use it again.

actaully i found it to be pretty easy when using wet. After a wash, I leave the car wet spray nxt spray wax on a damp MF towel and apply it panel by panel. When im done with the whole car and the wax has already hazed, I buff it off to a nice shine.

I would think that NXT spray wax would not work good on a wet surface. I think that it would be like using a liquid wax on a car after you just wash it and trying to wipe it off with water running from all the nooks and crannys. WAUD seems to work best on wet cars.

I had the same problem. Once it dried, it was all downhill. :down

I'll use it again, But next time I will try the wet method.

I wasn't too happy with the NXT Booster spray..till I tried applying it with a foam finishing pad. Just spritzed the pad lightly and that stuff will spread for quite a large surface before re-spritz.

I did the whole car, then wiped with an MF towel. Works well, but I probably won't re-purchase the booster. Besides, with the above method, that stuff will last a couple of years.

Extreme badness will result in spraying this directly on a wet car, it goes where you don't want it! And it dries a nice white color that is hard to remove. I don't really get the point at all of this product. In order to use it and not get it all over everything it has to be sprayed into a pad of some sort so you might as well use the "real thang". I did use it at an outside show once after it rained, but I did spray into a foam pad. It might be just a wee bit easier to spread than the regular stuff.

I've used it wet several times in my car with good results. I use a chamay in my left hand to remove the larger drops of water and spray and wipe the wax with my right hand. It dries and buffs out easily to a nice shine. It might make a difference as to what the condition of the paint is in the first place ?

Not sure why the bad reports for the booster wax.

Used it a fair few times now and Ive had nothing but rave reviews for it!

Apply it after drying car with a WW using a meguiars microfibre, it looks like it steaks but that all vanishes by the time you've done all the car and then just a once over with a clean microfibre.

Great results, would even go as far as saying it makes the car look ever so slighty better than using Clearkotes Quikspray.
