Using Meguairs Leather cleaner/conditioner on non-car leathers

I was going through my closet and realized I haven't cleaned or conditioned my leather jacket since I have gotten it...I was just curious if using Meguiars leather cleaner and conditioner that I already bought for my car, would be fine to use on my jacket.

Thanks in advance

I read somewhere that automotive leather cleaner are much harsher because automotive leathers are treated differently to withstand UV, heat, and environmental contaminants, so the automotive cleaner should not be used on household items...

I cleaned my 25 year old leather jacket with Meg's last week. I was quite impressed with how supple the jacket is now. Better than anything I've used on it before, and it's been taken care of quite faithfully, as it was given to me by my then-girlfriend, who has been my wife for 21 years.

Hmmm, anyone else hear about this?

I'm sure there are some cleaners that are harsher than others. Thatbeingsaid, what I used was Medallion Leather Care, which is a cleaner _and_ a conditioner. As such, I don't believe the cleaning agents _can_ be overly aggressive.

I use Medallion Leather on my jackets, shoes and boots and love it!

My friends and family also use it on their leather furniture.
