Using Different Products on Same Pad

I've always been under the impression that one needs to use only one product for each pad. If I clean the pad after each use, what is the harm in using more than one product per pad? Can I use one polishing pad for OP and SSR2.5 and maybe one finishing pad for 2 brands of sealant? Or even maybe another polishing pad for AIO's such as XMT 360 and Megs 66?



I clean my pads by putting them in a bucket of Simple Green and water for 24 hours then handwashing each with Dawn.

No...



Example: Polish with Menzerna IP and an orange pad. That pad is now saturated with that product. If you want to step down to a finer polish you need to get another pad or wash and clean the same pad prior to another product.

Actually, that is what he is saying. Once a pad is thoroughly clean, you can use whichever product you want on it.
