Using CLR for waterspots

Well my new Nissan (2007 with 1100 miles) was coated with 4 coats of Zaino. Much to my surprise I catch mild surface waterspots all over the hood (its pearl white so not easy to see) So in researching, some have suggested a clay treatment. However other says clay wont remove surface water spots

So in some of the forums, people have discussed using CLR in a bucket with soap to get rid of them and then rewax.

Is CLR safe for the clearcoat??? Would hate to do something wrong.

thanks

I wouldn't use CLR because it might do more harm than good, on your spots try using a machine to remove them or maybe a fellow autopian in your area might help to remove them before it gets worse, also Welcome to Autopia and also post your location too so someone can help you out..... :usa

I started noticing water spots with zaino too. I tried various things however the only thing that worked was polishing the paint.
